About the role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Vehicle Washer / Courtesy Driver to join our team at Lilydale Hyundai, GWM & LDV in Lilydale, VIC. This is a full-time position that plays an essential role in maintaining our dealership's reputation for excellence. You will be responsible for keeping our vehicles in pristine condition and providing courteous service to our customers by transporting them to and from our dealership. This role is critical in ensuring a positive customer experience and supporting the smooth operation of our sales and service departments.

Key responsibilities

• Wash and detail vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all cars meet our dealership's presentation requirements

• Operate vehicle washing equipment safely and efficiently

• Perform basic vehicle inspections and report any damage or maintenance issues to management

• Provide courteous and professional courtesy driving services for customers and staff

• Maintain a clean and organised working environment within the vehicle wash bay and courtesy vehicle fleet

• Follow all health and safety procedures and dealership protocols

• Assist with other general duties around the dealership as needed

What we're looking for

• A valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record

• Proven experience in vehicle washing, detailing, or similar roles within the automotive industry

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

• Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanour

• Physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive tasks in varying weather conditions

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive terminology (desirable)

• Willingness to undertake training on dealership procedures and vehicle systems
