I Eat Fresh is a growing Queensland foodservice, wholesale and food manufacturing business based in Brendale. We supply schools, healthcare, hospitality, clubs and other foodservice customers across South East Queensland.

As our bakery and food manufacturing division continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Senior Baker to join our production team and take an active role in the day-to-day operation of our bakery.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on, skilled baking position suited to an experienced baker who is confident working in a commercial production environment.

The Senior Baker will be responsible for preparing and producing a wide range of bakery products while maintaining consistent product quality, food safety standards and production efficiency.

You will work with commercial bakery equipment and established recipes while also assisting with new product development and improvements to existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, mix, knead, ferment, shape, proof and bake a range of bakery products
• Produce breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, biscuits, muffins, brownies, bars and other baked products
• Prepare laminated and specialty doughs where required
• Accurately follow recipes, formulations and production specifications
• Operate commercial mixers, ovens, dough equipment and other bakery machinery
• Monitor baking temperatures, times, dough development and finished product quality
• Maintain consistency in product weight, appearance, texture and quality
• Assist with scaling recipes and commercial batch production
• Coordinate daily bakery production to meet customer orders and production schedules
• Minimise production waste and improve bakery efficiencies
• Assist with new product development, recipe trials and production improvements
• Maintain accurate production and batch records
• Ensure ingredients are correctly stored, rotated and handled
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe bakery environment
• Follow HACCP, allergen management, food safety and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with training and supporting other bakery and production staff
• Work closely with management and the production team to achieve production targets
• About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has solid experience as a Baker, Senior Baker or Production Baker
• Has experience working in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing environment
• Has strong knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, proofing and baking
• Is experienced with breads, pastries, cookies, muffins and other commercial baked products
• Understands commercial batch production and recipe scaling
• Can confidently operate commercial bakery equipment
• Has strong attention to detail and product consistency
• Understands food safety, hygiene and allergen controls
• Can organise production and work efficiently to deadlines
• Is reliable, physically capable and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
• Can work independently while also contributing positively to a production team
• Has good communication and problem-solving skills

Formal baking qualifications are highly regarded; however, substantial relevant commercial baking experience will also be considered.
