About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Import Operator to join our Fremantle (O’Connor)-based WA team. This is a hands‑on, departure‑to‑end import operational role well suited to someone who enjoys variety, ownership of their shipments, and building strong customer relationships in a close‑knit team environment.

You’ll manage Import air and sea freight, working closely with customers, overseas agents, in house customs broker team, transport, carriers and internal teams to ensure smooth, compliant handling from departure through to final delivery.

As an experienced freight forwarding operator, you will know the role is hands on and can be busy, and you will relish both the challenge and opportunity to go the extra mile and deliver an amazing customer experience for our clients.

To be successful you will:

·         Have prior experience as a import freight forwarding operator

·         Have EDI Cargowise software experience 

·         Have sea, air and cartage import operations experience

·         Knowledge of incoterms and import documentation requirements

·         Be well organised, with a strong attention to detail

·         Be able to effectively manage your time to meet deadlines

·         Enjoy helping customers, with a drive to deliver outstanding customer service

·         Be an excellent verbal and written communicator over phone and email

·         Enjoying working as part of a team, and independently

·         Have basic computer skills, with Cargowise, ICS and 1-Stop knowledge

·         A high level of respect for processes and laws
