About the role
Tangentyere Council Aboriginal Corporation (TCAC) is a community controlled Public Benevolent Institution delivering human services and social enterprise activities for the benefit of Aboriginal people from the Alice Springs Town Camps, urban Alice Springs, and Central Australia.
First incorporated in 1979, the organisation was a finalist in the 2016 Reconciliation Australia, Indigenous Governance Awards and is one of the 10 largest Aboriginal Corporations in Australia.
The Council offers 6 weeks Annual Leave and attractive Remote Area Salary Packaging.
The finance officer works as part of a team of finance officers that is responsible to the Finance Manager and Chief Finance Officer. The team of finance officers works together to prepare purchase orders, pay suppliers, book travel, bill clients, handle cash for sitting fees/petty cash/prepaid cards and process weekly payroll.
The finance officers may be asked to process transactions for Tangentyere Council and any of its related enterprises.
