We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Motor Mechanic (General) (ANZSCO 321211) tojoin our workshop team in Brookvale.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:Diagnosing mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance, including engine, transmission, steering,suspension and braking systems.Repairing or replacing defective mechanical components.Inspecting vehicles to identify mechanical issues and determine the required repairs.Conducting mechanical testing and road testing following repairs.Performing fault-finding and troubleshooting on vehicle mechanical systems.Carrying out mechanical repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.Installing vehicle accessories and components.Removing and replacing vehicle parts.Fitting aftermarket accessories including alarms, batteries and other vehicle equipment.Using hand and power tools to modify and fit vehicle components.Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:Certificate III or Certificate IV in Automotive Technology (or equivalent qualification).At least one year of relevant full-time experience as a Motor Mechanic.Strong knowledge of light vehicle servicing, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.Ability to use diagnostic equipment, workshop tools and service manuals.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Current Australian driver's licence preferred.NSW Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.
