API Solution Designer

Job Description:

Role:  API Solution Designer

·        Knowledge on various emerging technologies including proven past experience in designing and developing customer facing web applications

·        Convert high level architecture blueprints into detailed system design including analysing solution options, solution risks.

·        Produce design artefacts inclusive of component diagrams, sequence diagrams

·        Provide in-depth technical leadership and guidance for the API delivery and governance teams to ensure compliance with existing Architecture Standards.

·        Be capable of independently orchestrating discussions with business stakeholders, architects and designers/leads from other system areas.

·        Bring strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to present to senior stakeholders and negotiate with teams for alignment.

·        Be an expert on APIs and have extensive experience with API design and development in the past including API lifecycle, API security, Integration Patterns, Synch and Asynch operations, API performance.

·        Bring deep understanding of working of modern web application in a micro services landscape including authentication, security, scaling, performance and other non-functional elements.

·        Leading the review of work (individual and team) and providing guidance, advice and assistance to less experienced colleagues as required

·        Leading the investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of performance issues for APIs and web services.

·        Experience with event streaming with Kafka and working with Avro schema is an advantage

Mandatory Skils :

∙        API lifecycle, API security, Integration Patterns, Synch and Asynch operations, API performance & API design and development

∙        microservices landscape including authentication, security, scaling, performance and other non-functional elements, Kafka.
