Join Liverpool Hospital in this newly created Senior Pharmacist role supporting the expanding Haematology and CAR-T Cell Therapy Service. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of specialised pharmacy services for patients receiving complex and innovative therapies within a leading tertiary referral centre.
Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health professionals, you will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to haematology inpatients, including those undergoing CAR-T cell therapy. You will also contribute to service development, quality improvement and education initiatives while helping to ensure safe, effective and patient-centred medication management across the service.
In This Role, You Will
Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to haematology patients, including those receiving CAR-T cell therapy. Lead and support safe, high-quality medication management practices within a specialised tertiary healthcare setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes and enhance continuity of care. Drive service development, quality improvement and education initiatives to support best-practice clinical care. Provide clinical and operational leadership, ensuring adherence to legislation, policies and professional standards.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate
Significant clinical pharmacy experience within a haematology service in a tertiary hospital setting. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to review and manage complex medication regimens safely and accurately. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with confidence providing specialist clinical advice to healthcare professionals. A commitment to leadership, continuous improvement, education and the delivery of patient-focused pharmacy services.
Selection Criteria

At least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience with extensive clinical pharmacy skills and experience in Haematology. This may include postgraduate study in this area, detailed knowledge of Haematology medicines including PBS criteria, membership of a relevant professional organisation and willingness to undertake further training. Experience in aseptic and/or cytotoxic compounding is desirable.Current full and unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Pharmacist.Provide an example of a medication-related issue managed in a complex haematology or CAR-T cell therapy patient. Outline the situation, the actions taken and the outcome achieved.Describe a quality improvement, education, policy or service development initiative undertaken within a pharmacy service. Outline the role performed, the actions taken and how the initiative improved practice or service delivery.
