About the role

As a casual Personal Care Worker with HealthSA, you will provide safe, person-centred care across a variety of healthcare settings throughout South Australia. This diverse role includes delivering in-home personal care to HealthSA's Support at Home clients, as well as supporting other healthcare providers through agency placements.
You will work under the guidance of the Clinical Lead and Foundational Registered Nurse as well as supporting Registered and Enrolled Nurses where required. You will contribute to individualised care planning and implementation with a person-centred approach, while promoting independence and maintaining dignity throughout.
 
Your role may include assisting clients with:

·      Activities of daily living, including personal care/hygiene

·      Meal preparation and support

·      Transport and social support

·      Light household cleaning and laundry

·      Medication management (if accredited)

About you

As a Personal Care Worker with HealthSA, you will be committed to improving the care and experiences of South Australians through the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.

Essential requirements:

·       Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Certificate IV preferred)

·       Compassion, professionalism and adaptability

·       Commitment to person-centred, dignified care

You must also hold, or be willing to obtain:

·       National Police Check (within 12 months)

·       NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

·       Current First Aid & CPR

·       Valid Driver’s Licence

·       Reliable vehicle and ability to travel
