Team Support / Junior Estimator - Commercial Furniture

Our busy Commercial Furniture team is currently seeking an enthusiastic person to join them in the position of Team Support / Junior Estimator.

About the role:

The role is well suited to an Administrator looking to advance their career into a Team Support / Estimating role that focuses on Commercial Furniture supply to some of Australia's largest companies! 

You will be responsible for learning and undertaking the estimating duties of our commercial furniture division to the best of your ability, further-more you will undertake and participate in administrative duties as well as client-support activities to enhance our customer experience and team performance; whilst supporting our sales teams by providing accurate information for business tenders.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

• Prepare accurate project prices based on take-offs from contract drawings and specifications.

• Price contract variations and communicate with appropriate sales and operation members. 

• Identify cost saving solutions to put forward during tenders.

• Administer full quote process from initial client requests as well as request quotes from existing suppliers.

• Provide support and assistance in the preparation of client presentations and other activities as required.

About you:

• Completion of year 12 Secondary education or equivalent as a minimum (a tertiary qualification in Business would be advantageous);

• Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills;

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite;

• Excellent administration and organisational skills with high attention to detail;

• Demonstrated ability to work well under time pressures, including working to deadlines.

• Demonstrated initiative and ability to excel in a team environment;

• Understanding of processes relating to purchase orders / invoicing

Highly regarded but not essential:

• Systems & commercial furniture, especially in the estimation and or administration fields.

• Practical knowledge of commercial furniture & joinery construction.
