Your Assignment |

The Sous Chef is a part of the leadership team and has shared responsibility for all day to day operations within the department, managing and training the team of chefs, and actively participating in the development of existing and new and innovative products.

• The role will be required to work within a rotating roster over a seven day period.
• Must be a hands-on, leading day to day operations of the department.
• You must display precision pastry and bakery/cooking skills, have proven knowledge and experience, with an understanding of product development is essential to succeed.
• You must be reliable and flexible. Punctuality is essential to succeed. 
• Working with the Head Chef, Chief of Food & Beverage Officer and our Product Development team you will be responsible for leading a team of chefs in producing premium products for our loyal customers.

To be successful in this role, you must have proven leadership skills, excellent time management skills, be fanatical about organisation and cleanliness, current knowledge of pastry trends within the industry and enthusiasm to keep your department energised, motivated, clean and presentable.

You must have permanent residency in Australia.

• Proven experience in similar position is advantageous for success
• Be able to provide information, advice and recommendations of store products
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Computer literacy
• Ensure policies/guidelines are adhered to by employees
• Keep a clean and organised workspace whilst adhering to our OHS and Food Safety guidelines
• Ability to train junior team members
• Be able to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment
