Mechanical Technician / Pre-Delivery Installer

Brisvegas Machinery is a family owned heavy equipment dealership in Darra, selling and servicing Kobelco excavators, ASV Positracks, New Holland construction equipment and Hydrema dumpers. We're growing fast and need a hands-on technician who takes pride in getting machines out the door right the first time.

You'll be responsible for preparing new machinery for delivery and carrying out mechanical work across our range of excavators, positracks, construction equipment and dumpers. This covers pre delivery inspections, fitting attachments and accessories, fault finding, general servicing and repairs, and making sure every machine that leaves our yard meets our standard and the customer's expectations.

You'll work closely with our sales team, parts department and transport crew to keep deliveries on schedule. You'll be the last line of quality control before a machine reaches the customer.

•        Carrying out pre delivery inspections and preparation on new heavy equipment

•        Fitting attachments, safety equipment and other accessories to customer specification

•        Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults

•        Completing routine servicing and maintenance

•        Test running machines to confirm everything's operating to spec before handover

•        Keeping accurate job records and service documentation

•        Working safely and keeping your work area up to standard

•        Pitching in on general workshop and yard duties as needed

•        Trade qualification in heavy diesel, plant mechanics, or similar (or well progressed towards one)

•        Solid mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills

•        Experience with earthmoving or construction equipment is a strong plus, but we'll consider the right attitude over ticking every box

•        Current driver's license, forklift useful but not essential

•        Someone who takes ownership of their work and doesn't need to be chased

•        A team player who communicates well with sales, parts and other techs

•        Physically fit and comfortable with hands on workshop work

•        Full-time position, based on site at our Darra branch
