About the Business

Founded in 1987, Tropical Pines is a collaborative family-owned enterprise located in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast. We pack over 1 million trays of pineapples each year, supplying major supermarkets, food service providers and independent retailers across Australia through every major state fresh market.

We are currently seeking experienced Forklift and Production Workers to join our Packhouse team in Beerwah.

Backpackers welcome (must have valid Australian work rights).

 About the Role

This hands-on role combines forklift operations with routine maintenance and general operational support throughout the packhouse. You will play an important role in ensuring product moves efficiently through the facility while helping maintain equipment, machinery and site infrastructure to minimise downtime and support safe operations

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently throughout the packhouse.

• Loading, unloading and transporting pallets, packaging materials and finished product.

• Completing daily forklift pre-start inspections and safety checks.

• Assisting with preventative maintenance and routine servicing of equipment.

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks within skill level.

• Assisting with troubleshooting equipment and machinery issues.

• Supporting packhouse operations during peak production periods.

• Maintaining workshop, machinery and maintenance records.

• General site maintenance, housekeeping and cleanliness.

• Ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, GMP and workplace health and safety requirements.

•  Day shifts – Monday to Friday (various start times)

What We’re Looking For

To be successful you should have:

• Current Australian Forklift Licence (Essential)

• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, horticulture or packhouse environment.

• Mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and identify equipment issues.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Reliable transport.

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• A positive, reliable attitude and strong work ethic.

Desirable

• Previous maintenance experience.

• Welding, fabrication or trade-related experience.

• Experience operating production machinery and equipment.

• Experience working within food production or horticulture industries.
