AKT DEMOLITION PTY LTD AKT Asbestos & Demolition is seeking an experienced Asbestos Supervisor to join our growing team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising asbestos removal works across residential, commercial and industrial sites, leading and directing licensed removal crews, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with the asbestos removal control plan and safe work method statements, overseeing site set-up, enclosures, decontamination and waste disposal, and coordinating with clients, hygienists and regulators to ensure compliance and timely completion of works. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for professional development and further training Supportive and experienced team Exposure to a broad range of projects Task & responsibilities Conduct technical asbestos inspections and surveys across residential, commercial and industrial buildings and structures, identifying suspected asbestos-containing materials and determining sampling requirements.

Undertake asbestos sampling in accordance with applicable procedures, review laboratory analysis results, and maintain accurate sampling records. Assess and document the location, type, condition and potential risk of suspected or confirmed asbestos-containing materials, and provide technical recommendations on management, monitoring, encapsulation or removal. Prepare and maintain asbestos registers, survey reports, technical scopes of work and asbestos management documentation.

Assist with the preparation, planning and coordination of asbestos management and removal works, and supervise site activities against project requirements, technical documentation and agreed work procedures. Conduct site inspections before, during and following asbestos-related works, identify technical issues requiring attention, and liaise with clients, project managers, laboratories, removal personnel and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate site records, photographs and project documentation, and ensure all asbestos-related activities comply with applicable procedures, codes of practice and company safety requirements.

Qualification & experience Qualifications & Licences needed: Relevant asbestos identification, assessment or removal qualifications. CPCCDE4008 – Supervise Asbestos Removal, highly regarded. CPCCDE3015 – Remove Friable Asbestos Current driver's licence.

Construction White Car Additional asbestos assessment, air monitoring or clearance qualifications will be highly regarded. Skills & Experience:  Demonstrated experience conducting asbestos inspections. Strong knowledge of asbestos-containing materials and common locations in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Ability to interpret laboratory results and translate findings into clear site documentation. Strong report-writing and record-keeping skills. Good understanding of asbestos legislation, WHS requirements and relevant codes of practice.

Strong attention to detail and ability to assess site conditions accurately. Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise professionally with clients and site personnel. Ability to work independently across multiple client sites.
