Junior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a talented Graduate / Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team at JYA' in Fitzroy North, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our clients with a range of accounting and business advisory services.

What you'll be doing

• Training on Bookkeeping Software Xero & MYOB 

• Preparing and analysing financial reports and statements

• Assisting with tax planning and compliance, GST, PAYGW & BAS reporting

• Undertaking research and providing recommendations on accounting and business best practices

• Collaborating with the wider team to deliver high-quality services to our clients

• Participating in ongoing professional development to continually expand your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

• A recently completed degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and team members

• A keen interest in the accounting and business advisory industry

• Eligibility for or pursuit of a professional accounting designation (e.g. CA, CPA)
