Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper

We’re currently looking for a full-time Accountant or Bookkeeper who can work across a diverse portfolio of individuals, companies, trusts and other business structures, preparing compliance work.  This role would suit someone who is confident with BAS, bookkeeping, efficient, and has some experience working in public practice or a similar small-business setting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS across a range of industries

• Processing transactions and completing bank reconciliations

• Assisting with tax return and financial statement preparation for companies, trusts and individuals

• Supporting ayroll/STP processing as needed

• Communicating with the ATO where required

• General admin and client support including answering phones when required

• Working across Xero, XPM and Microsoft Office daily

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role (practice or commercial)

• Comfortable handling multiple BAS with strong attention to detail

• Experience using Xero/XPM preferred (or a willingness to learn quickly)

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• A team player who works productively and can manage time independently

• A basic knowledge of accounting concepts

• Formal qualifications are not essential — practical experience and a great attitude matter more
