ABOUT THE ROLE

We are recruiting for a part-time Accounts Payable Officer based at our Head Office in Glendenning in Western Sydney. The position joins our existing AP team reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager. As part of your duties, you will:

• Code expense invoices, match stock invoices, purchase orders and good receipt, process invoices accurately and efficiently in the system

• Process credit notes and claims.

• Investigate and action purchase price variances.

• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and attend to supplier queries.

• Assist with new supplier setup, perform verbal banking confirmations and verify supplier details.

• Maintain records, registers, filing and archiving in line with the company’s document retention policies.

• Provide support and back up to the wider team and business as required.

ABOUT YOU

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in AP or similar account’s role in a medium to large business.

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment.

• Good understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls.  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Effective time management skills.

• Previous experience with an ERP or accounting system

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
