About the role
Are you a natural people-leader with a big heart and the organisational skills to match?
WA Mums Cottage is looking for a Cottage Coordinator to lead a passionate team of volunteers to help us keep supporting women across the Peel region when they need it most.
About Us
WA Mums Cottage is a Mandurah-based charity that provides a safe, nurturing space for women, offering respite, mentoring, referrals and well-being support. Behind our Guest Support Services, Café and Op Shop is a dedicated team of around 35 volunteers, and we're looking for someone to help lead them into our next chapter.
The Role
This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of our organisation. Reporting to the Board, you'll manage the day-to-day running of the Cottage, including our volunteer team, guest support services, Café, Op Shop and community outreach. You'll bring structure, energy and heart to everything we do, while helping shape our strategy for the year ahead.
• Permanent part-time, 25 hours per week
• Based in Mandurah, with some flexibility to work from home
• Above Award hourly rate plus Super
What You'll Be Doing
• Leading and supporting a team of around 35 wonderful volunteers, including rostering, training and pastoral care
• Overseeing our Guest Support Services, Café and Op Shop operations
• Managing budgets
• Preparing reports for the Board and helping guide our strategic direction
• Coordinating fundraising events, grant applications and community partnerships
• Growing our social media presence and community profile
• Keeping the Cottage safe, welcoming and running smoothly, day to day
What We're Looking For
• Experience managing or coordinating volunteer-based teams or services
• Confidence with financial management, budgeting and Board reporting
• A genuine passion for supporting women and families in the community
• Strong people skills, with the ability to motivate, organise and problem-solve
• Experience with grant applications and acquittals (highly regarded)
• Retail or café experience (well regarded, not essential)
• Current WA Driver's Licence, National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Why Join Us
You'll be joining a close-knit, values-driven organisation with a Board that is genuinely invested in your success. This is a rare opportunity to lead a role that makes a visible, meaningful difference in your local community, every single week.
