Enterprize is Tasmania’s startup incubator. We support Tasmanian entrepreneurs to start and run innovative, high growth businesses, connecting founders with the space, community, and programs they need to succeed. Our hubs host a growing community of founders and businesses that are significant economic drivers for the state, and our programs and events reach thousands of Tasmanians every year.

We’re fortunate to call two iconic Tasmanian buildings home, thanks to the support of the City of Hobart and City of Launceston. In Hobart, you’ll find us across Level 4 and Level 5 of the Hobart City Council building while in Launceston, we occupy Macquarie House in Civic Square.

About the Role

We have a short-term gap in our Hobart Hub Coordinator role, and we need someone to step in and keep the Hobart hub running smoothly while we sort out the next permanent step. This is a casual, full-time position for approximately one month, based at our Hobart hub. Potential extension is possible.

You’ll be the welcoming face of Enterprize in Hobart, greeting our community and visitors, managing the day-to-day running of the space, supporting events, and helping our members get the most out of being part of Enterprize.

Facility Management

• Maintaining stock levels of all the hub essentials for our community members
• Issuing and managing access for cards and keys
• Maintaining safety plans and records, including first aid and evacuation officer requirements
• Liaising with building managers and contractors on repairs, maintenance, and updates to the hub

Event Management

• Conducting tours and processing bookings for external hirers
• Assisting guests with facility and technology needs throughout their booking
• Supporting and hosting Enterprize run events within the hub

Community Engagement

• Conducting tours for potential community members, and supporting onboarding and induction for new members
• Fielding and resolving member and guest queries or hub related issues
• Making sure all guests and members understand and uphold our Terms & Conditions and Code of Conduct
• Supporting existing community building initiatives within the hub
• Being a champion for Enterprize programs within the hub, and helping connect interested members to the right opportunities

Administration

• Reception duties, including greeting guests, accepting deliveries, and managing enquiry calls and emails

Please note that many of the hub related tasks are physically demanding. The successful candidate will need to be able to complete all duties efficiently and safely.
