• Employment Status: Permanent, part time
• Days & Hours of Work: 3 days a week, Monday and flexible on the other days totalling 22.8 hours a week
• Competitive Salary: Band 3 - $72,331.61 pro-rata + 12% superannuation

About the Role

The key purpose of the Home Maintenance Officer role is to support client safety and wellbeing by completing home maintenance and minor home modification tasks which do not require a qualified tradesperson.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting client safety and wellbeing by completing home maintenance and minor modification tasks.
• Maintaining stock of regularly used materials.
• Maintaining high level of customer service.
• Delivering services in a safe and professional manner.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

• A minimum of two years' experience in a handyman or property maintenance role, preferably in a Community Services environment.
• Ability to communicate with staff and clients with empathy and understanding, and a sensitivity to diverse economic, social and cultural backgrounds
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements

• Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
• Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check. 
• Be willing to undertake a premedical assessment check.
• Victoria Driver's Licence.
