Business Services Accountant

Our growing accounting firm in the Blue Mountains is seeking a full-time Intermediate Business Services / Tax Accountant to join our practice.

You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial and tax compliance work for a variety of clients including individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs.

Your duties will include:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS)

• Working with a range of entity structures including individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs

• Communicating with clients and the ATO when required

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a business services / tax accounting role within public practice

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

• Experience using HandiLedger, Xero Practice Manager & Tax and Microsoft Office

• Experience preparing tax returns, BAS and financial statements

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Ability to work independently and take initiative
