Gutter Cleaning Technician

$35–$38 per hour + Super | Full-Time

Looking for a hands-on job where you're not stuck inside all day?

Gutter-Vac Canberra is growing, and we're looking for a reliable, practical and motivated person to join our field team.

Based from our Hume ACT depot, you'll work across Canberra and surrounding areas servicing residential homes, commercial properties and larger managed sites.

No gutter-cleaning experience? No problem.

We'll train the right person. We're more interested in finding someone with a great attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to work safely and take pride in their work.

This isn't a job where every day looks the same.

Depending on the day's schedule, you'll be:

• Cleaning gutters using our specialised Gutter-Vac vacuum systems

• Clearing roofs, gutters and downpipes

• Solar panel cleaning

• Pressure cleaning and exterior washing

• Soft washing homes and external surfaces

• Installing solar-panel bird proofing

• Completing roof and property condition reports

• Taking before-and-after photos and completing digital job reports

• Speaking with customers and delivering great service

• Driving company vehicles and towing our purpose-built equipment trailers

You'll generally start your day from our Hume depot, collect your vehicle and equipment, and head out to scheduled jobs across Canberra and surrounding areas.

Once trained, you'll work both independently and alongside other technicians depending on the job.

We're more interested in finding the right person than the perfect resume.

You'll suit this role if you:

• Are reliable and turn up ready to work

• Enjoy practical, hands-on outdoor work

• Are physically fit and comfortable working at heights

• Have a strong safety-first mindset

• Can work independently without constant supervision

• Take pride in doing a job properly

• Are friendly, respectful and confident speaking with customers

• Are comfortable using a smartphone and basic apps

• Can follow procedures and complete job documentation

• Are willing to learn new equipment and skills

• Can handle early starts and longer days when required

Attitude, reliability and work ethic matter more to us than years of experience.

• Valid Australian driver's licence

• White Card, or willingness to obtain one

• Working at Heights ticket, or willingness to obtain one

• Police Check, or willingness to obtain one

• Ability to obtain additional site clearances where required

• Confidence working safely on and around roofs

• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work

Previous experience in any of the following would be great, but isn't essential:

• Gutter or exterior cleaning

• Pressure washing or soft washing

• Roofing

• Plumbing

• Solar

• Property maintenance

• Trade-assistant or construction work

• Working at heights

• Trailer towing and reversing

• Field-service or mobile service roles

If you're mechanically minded, good with your hands and comfortable working outdoors, we'd still like to hear from you even if you've never cleaned a gutter professionally.

Your starting rate will be $35–$38 per hour + super, depending on experience, qualifications and suitability for the role.
