We are currently seeking a qualified A Grade Electrician to join our team and support the maintenance, reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations at our Bayswater facility.

This is a hands-on role where you will play an important part in keeping our production equipment and electrical systems operating safely, reliably and efficiently. Working closely with our production and maintenance teams, you will help minimise downtime, resolve breakdowns and identify practical opportunities to improve equipment performance and reliability.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and production equipment across the site.

Your focus will be on maximising equipment reliability and availability while ensuring safety, quality and production requirements are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown electrical maintenance across production equipment and site infrastructure

• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise production downtime

• Troubleshoot PLCs, VSDs, sensors, motors, conveyors and automated production equipment

• Carry out PLC modifications and upgrades where required

• Respond promptly and safely to production breakdowns

• Maintain electrical systems across machinery, buildings and site infrastructure

• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to identify and resolve equipment issues

• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant standards, OH&S requirements and company policies

• Monitor electrical spare parts and support procurement requirements

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, efficiency and waste reduction

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and provide recommendations for equipment and process improvements

About You

You are a qualified A Grade Electrician who enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment and takes pride in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.

You bring strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills and are confident working with PLC systems, VSDs and automated production equipment. You have a sound understanding of industrial electrical systems, with exposure to mechanical and pneumatic systems also highly regarded.

You are proactive, reliable and comfortable responding to breakdowns, while recognising the importance of preventative maintenance and long-term equipment reliability.

Just as importantly, you are a strong communicator and team player who works collaboratively with production, maintenance and other areas of the business. You have a genuine commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement and look for practical ways to improve equipment performance and minimise downtime.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• Current A Grade Electrical Licence

• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Experience with PLC systems, including troubleshooting and modifications

• Experience with VSDs and automated production equipment

• Experience maintaining motors, sensors and industrial machinery

• Sound understanding of electrical safety and workplace health and safety requirements

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A proactive and practical approach to problem solving

Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:

• Manufacturing or high-volume production environments

• Quality management systems and HACCP environments

• Food manufacturing, packaging or similar manufacturing operations

• Mechanical and pneumatic systems
