The Blood Unit is looking for an experienced and compassionate Medical Administration Assistant to become part of our friendly and supportive team based at Cabrini Malvern.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values being part of a genuinely collaborative workplace. We are currently offering a casual position with the potential to grow into a permanent part-time or full-time role for the right person.

No two days are the same in our practice, and your contribution will play an important role in helping deliver exceptional patient care.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of our front-line administration team, you will:

• Welcome patients and create a warm, professional first impression

• Manage appointments, phone calls, and patient enquiries

• Support clinicians with day-to-day administrative tasks

• Liaise with pathology providers, hospitals, and referring doctors

• Assist in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice

About You

You are someone who is organised, adaptable, and genuinely enjoys helping people. You work well under pressure, communicate confidently, and take pride in providing high-quality administrative support within a healthcare setting.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous medical administration experience (1–2 years minimum preferred)

• Strong computer skills including Zedmed and/or similar medical software systems & Microsoft Office

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Compassionate and professional communication skills

• Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team

• Australian work rights
