About SATS

Smoke Alarm Testing Services (SATS) is a locally owned and operated smoke alarm compliance company. For more than 15 years, we have worked with real estate agencies and landlords across Australia and New Zealand to help ensure residential rental properties meet applicable smoke alarm legislation.

Our purpose is simple: providing peace of mind through qualified people installing and maintaining smoke alarms in residential rental properties.

About the role

As a SATS Electrician, you will complete planned daily appointments at residential properties throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas. You will work independently while being supported by our experienced office, scheduling and field teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Testing, maintaining, replacing and installing residential smoke alarms

• Completing electrical smoke alarm work and fault rectification

• Following scheduled daily routes and attending residential properties

• Communicating professionally with tenants, clients and the SATS support team

• Accurately recording completed work using a company-provided mobile device

• Following all relevant electrical, safety and compliance requirements

There is no need to find customers, organise appointments or provide your own vehicle and equipment—we arrange the work and provide the tools you need.

What you’ll need

To be successful in this position, you will have:

• A current electrical licence—mandatory

• A current manual driver’s licence

• The ability to work safely and independently

• Strong communication and customer-service skills

• A professional and presentable manner

• Good attention to detail and accurate reporting skills

• Confidence using a mobile device

• The physical ability to climb ladders several times throughout the day

• A willingness to travel and stay overnight when operationally required

• Full Australian working rights

A National Police Check will be required before commencement.
