About the role
We are seeking an A Grade Electrician to join our team on a full-time basis at our Terang location. This is a key position within our organization, offering the opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects whilst contributing to our continued success and reputation for quality. As an A Grade Electrician, you will take on a senior technical role, potentially mentoring junior staff and ensuring all work meets the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This position offers stability, variety, and the chance to develop your career within a growing business.

Key responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in residential, industrial and commercial properties

• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, plans, and technical drawings

• Troubleshooting electrical faults and providing effective solutions

• Ensuring all work complies with relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations

• Using appropriate testing equipment to verify installations and diagnose issues

• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

• Maintaining and repairing white goods (optional but strongly recommended.)

• Providing guidance and support to apprentices and junior electricians where required

• Conducting regular site safety checks and adhering to workplace health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

• A Grade electrical license or equivalent qualification recognized in Victoria

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation techniques

• Competency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation

• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment

• A solid understanding of relevant electrical codes and workplace safety standards

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• A clean, valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Preferred minimum of 5 years' experience working as a qualified electrician (desirable)

• Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)

• Experience in commercial electrical work or project management (desirable)
