A Grade Electrician

B & B Electrical Services is seeking a skilled and experienced A Grade Electrician for immediate start to join our dynamic team in Melbourne VIC 3000. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse electrical projects, applying your expertise to deliver high-quality installations. As an A Grade Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients receive professional electrical services that meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position is based on-site in Melbourne, allowing you to work directly with our teams and clients across a variety of commercial and residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with building codes and safety regulations

• Diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot complex problems efficiently to minimise downtime

• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance

• Read and interpret electrical drawings, and wiring diagrams accurately

• Conduct electrical testing and commissioning of completed work

• Collaborate with other tradespeople, site managers to coordinate project activities

• Ensure all work sites are kept clean and tidy, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times

• Mentor and support junior electricians and apprentices where applicable

What we're looking for

• A Grade electrical license issued by the relevant Victorian authorities

• Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience as a qualified electrician

• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations applicable in Victoria

• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools

• Strong understanding of domestic and commercial electrical systems

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments

• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport to job sites

• Strong communication skills and professional customer service approach
