Digital Marketing Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Digital Marketing Specialist in Melbourne CBD, VIC.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. While the role is offered on a fixed-term basis, there may be opportunities for the successful and right candidate to continue growing with the business, subject to organisational needs and future opportunities.

We're looking for a commercially driven digital marketer who can turn strategy into execution and deliver measurable business outcomes. In this highly impactful role, you'll lead initiatives across e-commerce, paid media, CRM, social media, product launches and customer experience, helping drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value while shaping the digital growth of an innovative, science-led skincare brand.

Responsibilities

E-commerce - Shopify

• Manage the website updates, merchandising, and campaign rollouts.
• Create and update collections pages, landing pages, blogs and templates.
• Upload banners, copy, product imagery and content.
• Liaise with the Graphic Designer and Marketing Manager to optimise the look and design of the website.

NPD & Product

• Support the implementation of all new product launch campaigns and asset production.
• Assist with launch execution across website and channels.

Marketing Campaigns and Promotions

• Assist with campaign planning and coordination.
• Support copy, collateral, and asset production.
• Coordinate website, email, and channel execution.
• Coordinate promotional activity (sales, discounts, GWP).
• Set up promotional messaging across channels.

Paid Advertising

• Work with paid media agency on campaign execution.
• Co-ordinate and create effective paid advertising campaigns that meet company ROAS targets.
• Create ad briefs that reflect the brand’s premium positioning, capture the customer’s attention in a creative way and convert well.

eDM & SMS

• Assist with eDM and SMS planning and execution
• Build and schedule campaigns, and update automated flows
• Support CRM and retention initiatives
• Build and execute pop-ups and forms for lead gen

Social Media

• Account management for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
• Plan, Create, and Brief in content
• Scheduling & posting (feed and stories).

Loyalty Program & Reviews

• Support loyalty program execution
• Manage review initiatives and engagement
• Assist with CRM and retention activities

Customer Service

• Build a strong customer experience, understanding the potential impact of new functionality or features on creatives, customer experience or the brand.
• Customer order management/emails
• Basic product email responses

Qualifications

• 5 + years’ experience in e-commerce in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in an e-commerce role, preferably within skincare/ beauty.
• Demonstrated experience with Shopify is essential.
• Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4) and an ability to deep dive into the data to make suggestions on workflow redesigns or conversion optimisations.
• A strong understanding of UX/UI for customer journey and conversion rate optimisation.
• Proven experience executing multiple digital projects and managing priorities within time & budget guidelines.
• Experience managing digital marketing agencies with a focus on ROAS.
• Knowledge and experience in executing online merchandising and content strategies.
• Ability to analyse and map customer lifecycles.
• An understanding/familiarity with Klaviyo.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Exceptional organisational skills and work ethos.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and under pressure.
• Extraordinary attention to detail.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
