Parts Interpreter

We are looking for a technically minded and reliable Customer Service Officer to provide excellent service to our internal clients from our Mackay branch!

Trusted by your customers to provide great recommendations on parts and products; you’ll not only have technical knowledge but build relationships over time. Your support will be crucial role in helping customers keep their operations running safely and efficiently. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Responding to product and service enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Interpreting customer requirements and identifying suitable parts, products, and solutions
• Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Navigating technical catalogues, drawings, and product information to ensure accurate recommendations
• Preparing quotes, processing orders, and maintaining accurate customer and product records
• Advising customers on pricing, availability, lead times, and alternative product options
• Supporting sales growth through product knowledge and solution-based recommendations
• Ensuring customer requests are actioned efficiently and within agreed timeframes

Our Ideal Candidate will have

• Previous experience as a Parts Interpreter or within a technical sales, customer service, or industrial environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and catalogues
• Strong customer service manner and willingness to provide an excellent experience
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a small, collaborative team
• Previous exposure to ERP and/or other administration systems (like Salesforce or similar CRM systems)
