Customer Service Officer

As a Customer Service Officer, you will be the friendly voice and trusted advisor! You’ll be supporting our customers across phone, email, and in-branch enquiries working with the Sales Team to enhance our offering – all while leveraging your skills to grow and develop your career.

Based in our Mackay branch, this is a permanent, full-time role with a national brand (backed by Wesfarmers) where you’ll be working amongst a friendly and supportive team of stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

No two days look the same – you’ll be at the heart of our customer experience by:

• Responding to sales enquiries within our branch or via phone and email
• Building engaging relationships with our customers and internal teams everyday
• Parts interpretation and product identification to suit customer requirements
• Processing and data entry of orders, quotes, and end-to-end customer interactions
• Providing product-based information and cross-selling where relevant
• Ensuring requests are actioned in a timely manner within allocated timeframes

Skills you’ll bring

• Experience within a Sales or Customer Service environment
• Ability to interpret product and technical drawings
• Parts interpretation and technical catalogue navigation
• Advisory abilities in explaining price, availability, and alternative product options
• Ability to work unsupervised within a small team
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Comprehensive computer literacy specifically with Excel and Word
• Strong time management skills with a solution focused approach to problem solving
• Be safety minded and promote all things safety within our branch
• Experience in the lifting and heavy rigging industry welcomed but not essential
