Intermediate Accountant – Gold Coast – Large Ca Firm Close To The Beach

Our client, a well-established Gold Coast CA firm, is known for its exceptional service culture and diverse range of offerings, including accounting, tax, business advice, corporate compliance and SMSF services. They specialise in supporting small to medium businesses, including management rights and franchises, while maintaining a collaborative and supportive team environment. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with 2–5 years’ experience in public practice to consolidate their technical skills, grow their client advisory experience and continue professional studies toward CA or CPA. 

The Role: 

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS, IAS, FBT and CGT calculations 

• Maintain client accounting files and perform reconciliations 

• Support Self-Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) administration 

• Assist clients with MYOB, Xero, Cash Flow Manager and cloud accounting software 

• Liaise with clients directly and provide practical accounting and business advice 

• Collaborate with Managers and the wider team to meet deadlines 

• Build strong client relationships while developing your advisory and technical skills 

About You: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce 

• 2–5 years’ experience in Australian public practice 

• CA/CPA commenced or intending to commence 

• Proficient in Xero, MYOB, Cash Flow Manager (experience with FYI/BGL an advantage) 

• Strong attention to detail, time management and organisation skills 

• Excellent communication skills and client-focused approach 

• Enjoys working in a collaborative, positive and professional team environment
