Relationship Coordinator, Gifts in Wills

Permanent, part-time role (4 days per week)

Purpose of the job:

This role is positioned in the Gifts in Wills team. The purpose of this position is to coordinate a stewardship journey for supporters who have confirmed that they have included a gift in their Will to Guide Dogs to support the strategy to maintain and grow gifts in Wills income for Guide Dogs.

Key Accountabilities:

Job holder is successful when:

• An integrated multi-channel stewardship journey is implemented for bequestors in line with the business plan.
• The bequestor pipeline is maintained and managed.
• Yearly activity schedules are implemented and executed including donor phone calls, donor visits, event attendance, and communications in accordance with the business plan and agreed KPI’s.
• Unique personal contact targets are achieved.
• An ‘always on’ reconfirmation strategy is implemented
• Strategies are implemented to encourage increase in gift value including promotion of percentage/residual gifts and puppy naming for gifts valuing $50k+.
• Bequestors are invited to events and attendance levels are achieved in accordance with the business plan.
• Advocates are identified and engaged with at events.
• Timely data and relationship notes are captured and maintained for all activities.
• Collection of additional ‘key data’ relating to individual bequestors is obtained and captured on the CRM
• Day to day development of team members to enhance and improve skills and performance, is undertaken
• Day to day decision making within authority levels in order to meet and achieve objectives and key performance indicators is successfully undertaken.
• Contribution to the operation of the broader Centre of Excellence Fundraising team is made through attending meetings and actively seeking collaboration opportunities and working on unique projects.
• Collaboration with the Gifts in Wills team within the Fundraising Centre of Excellence is maximised to achieve agreed key performance indicators and outcomes in line with Strategy, Operational and Work Plans.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in fundraising or customer relationship management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and manage relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
• Highly organised, flexible and able to prioritise tasks and use own initiative
• Positive attitude and desire to exceed expectations
• Sound computer skills, including aptitude in MS Word and customer relationship management systems including Salesforce.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Good attention to detail, both in terms of data integrity and content/collateral development
• Able to manage the physical demands and inherent requirements of the job
• Ability to travel to regional NSW/ACT areas as needed for the role.
