About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Salaried Duty Manager to join our team at The German Arms Hotel in the charming town of Hahndorf, South Australia. As the Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel, contributing to the overall success of our hospitality business.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, including restaurant and front bar.

• Providing exceptional customer service and addressing guest inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

• Supervising and coordinating the work of the hotel staff, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures

• Monitoring and reporting on hotel performance metrics, such as sales and revenue

• Assisting in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the hotel's competitiveness and profitability

• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements

• Collaborating with the management team to identify and address any operational issues or challenges

What we're looking for

• A relevant diploma and 1 year relevant experience. Alternatively, 3 years relevant experience

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service

• Proficient in using hotel software and other relevant technologies

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management
