Maintenance Gardener

• Attend to various maintenance requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
• Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal
• Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors
• Maintain effective working relationships with maintenance contractors and suppliers
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules
• Complete additional adhoc tasks delegated to you by Community Leaders
• Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas.

• Gardening or grounds experience, with a strong sense of pride and ownership in your work
• A proactive, solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action
• Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‑friendly way
• A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work
• A valid driver’s licence (essential)
• Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)

• $30.34p/h + superannuation + relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances
