Calling All Chefs – Cooks & Pizza Makers

Gradi Crown is calling all Chefs, Cooks and Pizza Makers looking for their next opportunity.

Winter is wrapping up and we’re getting ready for the fun part of the hospitality calendar. spring, summer, events, celebrations and busy restaurant services at Crown Melbourne.

We’re expanding our kitchen team and want to hear from chefs of all levels, whether your strengths are in pans, grill, pizza, preparation or all-round restaurant cooking.

Full-Time and Part-Time applicants are particularly encouraged to apply as we’re looking to build a stable, long-term kitchen team. Casual chefs are also very welcome to apply.

Required

• Minimum 1 year professional kitchen experience
• Experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen
• Strong food preparation and basic knife skills
• Ability to work efficiently during busy services
• Good food safety and hygiene practices
• Reliable, organised and team-focused attitude
• Availability across evenings and weekends

Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery will be highly regarded for qualified chef positions.

Salary

Full-Time / Part-Time: $27.08 – $29.45 per hour + superannuation + applicable penalty rates

Casual: $33.85 – $36.81 per hour + superannuation + applicable penalty rates

Restaurant Industry Award – Levels 2–4, depending on qualifications, experience and duties performed.

Full-Time: 38 hours per week
Part-Time: approximately 8–35 hours per week
Casual: shifts offered according to availability and operational requirements
