Part-Time Payroll Officer

About the role

HL Landscapes Group is seeking an experienced and reliable Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. You will take ownership of accurate and timely payroll processing across the Group while supporting our finance and management teams. This role would suit someone who enjoys working independently, has strong attention to detail and understands Australian payroll requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time

• Maintain employee records, timesheets, leave and payroll changes

• Manage new starters, terminations and employee variations

• Interpret relevant awards, allowances and employment conditions

• Process superannuation and Single Touch Payroll reporting

• Complete payroll reconciliations and prepare reports

• Respond to employee payroll enquiries professionally

• Assist with workers' compensation, payroll tax and compliance requirements

• Support the finance team with related administrative duties when required

About you

• Previous experience in an end-to-end payroll position

• Sound knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and superannuation

• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• A high level of confidentiality and professionalism

• Confidence using payroll and accounting software

• Good Microsoft Excel skills

• The ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Experience within landscaping, construction, trades or a similar industry would be advantageous but is not essential
