• You will join a close-knit team where lawyers are trusted to manage matters autonomously while having access to senior support when required.

About the role:

• Manage a portfolio of plaintiff workers compensation matters from initial instructions through to resolution.
• Advise clients regarding their rights and entitlements under relevant workers compensation legislation.
• Prepare claims, review medical evidence and develop matter strategy.
• Liaise with insurers, medical practitioners, experts and other stakeholders.
• Handle disputed claims and progress matters through the relevant dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, practical advice throughout the life of a matter.
• Work closely with senior lawyers while independently managing your own files.

The ideal candidate:

• Approximately 3.5+ years’ PQE in workers compensation or plaintiff personal injury.
• Strong preference for lawyers with plaintiff workers compensation experience.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a portfolio of matters.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial, practical and confident in dealing directly with clients.
• Comfortable working autonomously within a flexible legal environment.
