Leading Hand/Drafter

About the role

This is a full-time role with a mix of factory leadership, drafting and job preparation. We are looking for a full-time Leading Hand/Drafter to join our team.

We're a detail-driven cabinetry business delivering custom kitchens, storage and selected commercial projects, with a strong focus on quality, clear communication and running jobs properly from start to finish.

This role would suit a qualified Cabinet Maker with solid industry experience who understands how jobs come together both on the factory floor and on paper. We're looking for someone who can lead our factory team, support drafting, maintain quality standards, and help keep production organised and moving.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting and job documentation

• Interpreting plans and preparing cabinetry details for production

• Leading the factory team day to day

• Managing workflow through the factory to install

• Supporting production co-ordination and day-to-day organisation

• Maintaining attention to detail and quality across the work

• Communicating clearly with the team to keep jobs on track

About you

• Qualified Cabinet Maker with solid industry experience

• Understands cabinetry construction, production processes and job flow

• Has drafting experience, or the ability to learn quickly with training provided

• Organised, detail-focused and takes pride in quality work

• Thinks ahead, spots issues early and helps keep things moving

• Communicates clearly and works well with others

• Reliable, practical and happy to be part of a small team

• Can take ownership of their work and maintain standards without constant supervision
