About the role

The role is a broad commercial litigation role where you will provide support and assistance to our senior practitioners on larger court matters. 

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Drafting advices, pleadings and prepare matters for hearing;

• Contested commercial litigation matters;

• Insolvency matters, bankruptcy and company liquidations;

• Provide support and assistance to our Principal and Consultant Solicitor, on larger court matters;

• Have exposure to all aspects of the litigation process from taking the client’s instructions to appearing in court; 

• Case based Legal Research for the senior practitioners; and  

• Assist with business development and marketing initiatives

Skills we value:

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Experience working in Commercial Litigation, particularly Dispute Resolution, highly regarded (2-3yrs PAE);

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;

• Strong research and drafting skills;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Ability to meet deadlines;

• A desire to learn and develop professionally;

• Full Australian working rights
