About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Undergraduate Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for a university student currently studying Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline who is looking to gain practical experience in a corporate environment while completing their studies.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide accounting, compliance and administrative support to the Finance team, contributing to financial reporting, internal controls, SOX compliance activities and finance projects that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting activitiesPrepare reconciliations, financial schedules and supporting documentationSupport the administration and maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance activities and internal controlsCoordinate and maintain audit evidence and documentation for SOX, internal and external auditsMaintain accurate financial records while ensuring data integrity and confidentialityAssist with finance projects and process improvement initiativesProvide general finance and administrative support as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Current enrolment in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related disciplineStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesA strong sense of confidentiality and professionalismA willingness to learn and develop knowledge of financial accounting, internal controls and SOX complianceThe ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
