Key Responsibilities:

Asset Condition Assessments

• Source, collect and verify information about Council assets including but not limited to Roads, Kerb, Footpath and Levees through inspections, research, condition assessments, site investigations and other appropriate methods.
• Maintain accurate and timely asset information in Council’s asset register and related systems.
• Conduct asset condition assessments and assess asset performance against relevant standards, service levels and asset management requirements.
• Monitor, analyse and report on the condition, performance and risks associated with Council assets.
• Recommend appropriate asset treatments, maintenance responses or renewal priorities for consideration by the Coordinator Assets.
• Research and assist with the development of infrastructure and asset management projects that support Council’s service delivery to the community.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, government agencies, statutory authorities and Council staff to support asset management outcomes.
• Respond to customer requests, investigate asset-related issues or complaints, and provide timely advice and reports in line with Council’s customer service standards.
• Provide accurate information, advice and reporting to support asset planning, maintenance programming, budgeting and decision-making.
• Ensure work is undertaken in accordance with relevant Council policies, procedures, standards, specifications, legislation and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Respond to requests for information relating to legal claims relating to Council’s assets.

You must include a cover letter.

• Certificate 4 Civil Construction or at least 5-year’s experience in a comparable role within this field.
• Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised with strong time management skills.
• Experience with conducting condition assessments/inspections.
• Understanding of assets management requirements, standards and corresponding legislation
• Relevant computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Asset management software.

Essential qualifications and experience

• Extensive experience in Council operations and works.
• Current drivers licence.

Desirable qualifications and experience

•  Level 1 or 2 Bridge inspection certificate
•  GIS experience
