About the Role

We are seeking a detail oriented Payroll & Subcontractor payments Specialist to join our team. Reporting to management, you will lead end-to-end payroll processing, manage subcontractor payments and compliance, and support the broader accounting and HR team. This is a 12 month contract with the opportunity for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Management: Process weekly timesheets, wage payments, superannuation, and reimbursements. Manage payroll liabilities, Workers Compensation payments, and complex disbursements such as ACIRT, Incolink, Child Support, CCW, Union fees. Support onboarding/offboarding workflows, employee queries, and system improvements.

• Subcontractor Compliance & Payments: Onboard labour hire subcontractors, collect ongoing compliance documentation, maintain records in Altora, and process timely invoice payments.

• Office Support: Support the wider accounting and HR team with ad-hoc tasks.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and statutory compliance.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, subcontractors, and external bodies.

• Familiarity with construction/trade industry disbursements (ACIRT, Incolink, etc.) highly regarded.

• Experience using Viewpoint Vista and Altora software is a strong advantage.
