Bookkeeper / Accounts Coordinator – Immediate Start

Elite Trades Australia is a fast-growing plumbing, electrical and energy-efficiency business delivering residential, commercial and major project work across Victoria.

We are entering a major growth period, with significant projects in the pipeline and a new energy business being launched. We are looking for a capable Bookkeeper/Accounts Coordinator who wants to take ownership, improve systems and grow with the business.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a newly created, hands-on role working directly with the directors.

You will take ownership of the day-to-day accounts function and become the key person responsible for ensuring our invoicing, payroll, payments, reconciliations and financial reporting remain accurate and up to date.

You will have the opportunity to improve how things are done, establish processes for our new business and build a role that grows in responsibility and influence as the company expands.

You will also work closely with our external accountant, who manages tax, BAS lodgements and year-end compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customer invoicing and debtor follow-up
• Weekly payroll and employee entitlements
• Supplier and subcontractor payments
• Bank, credit-card and Amex reconciliations
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintaining cash-flow forecasts, budgets and dashboards
• Reporting key financial information to the directors
• Helping establish the accounts systems for our new business
• Improving Xero and internal finance procedures

ABOUT YOU

• Experienced with Xero, payroll and reconciliations
• Confident managing invoicing, suppliers and subcontractors
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working directly with business owners
• Proactive and able to take ownership without constant direction
• Able to keep up in a fast-paced and growing environment

Experience in plumbing, electrical, construction, field services or project-based businesses will be highly regarded.
