About El Jannah

El Jannah began in 1998 in Granville, Sydney, with a simple idea: serve honest, authentic Lebanese-Australian food that brings people together. More than two decades on, our charcoal chicken, bold flavours and energetic restaurants have made us one of Australia’s most loved food brands, with restaurants across NSW, the ACT and Victoria. Now we’re bringing El Jannah to South Australia for the very first time, right by the beach in Glenelg!

About the Role

We’re looking for Charcoal Cook’s to join the opening team at El Jannah Glenelg. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the El Jannah experience — preparing and cooking our signature charcoal chicken safely, consistently and to recipe standards.

As part of our first South Australian team, you’ll help set the standard for everything that follows in this state. No previous experience is required — full training is provided on the job, making this a rare opportunity to learn a specialised craft and be trusted with a key station from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the charcoal pit safely and efficiently
• Cook charcoal chicken to El Jannah quality standards, every time
• Portion and prepare chicken for service
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and station cleanliness
• Support smooth service flow during busy periods
• Work closely with the wider team to deliver a great guest experience, the EJ Way

What We’re Looking For

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Willingness to learn and follow procedures
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• A team-first mindset with respectful communication
• Availability to work flexible rosters, including evenings and weekends
• Previous kitchen or fast food experience is helpful but not essential
