Build capability. Challenge thinking. Shape the future of work.
We’re transforming the way we partner with leaders and are looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner who thinks beyond traditional HR, builds trusted partnerships and helps leaders make better workforce decisions.
This is more than providing advice or administering processes. We’re looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and solutions-focused with the ability to look beyond the symptoms to identify the causes of organisational issues.
Working closely with the Manager People & Culture Services, you’ll partner with leaders across Council to provide strategic and operational advice on workforce planning, employee and industrial relations, organisational development and change.
Coach and influence leaders to strengthen capability, manage workforce risks and improve performance.
Identify underlying issues and develop practical, sustainable solutions that support strategic organisational outcomes.
Use workforce data and evidence to inform better decisions and longer-term organisational improvement.
Balance immediate workforce challenges with strategic priorities to improve organisational performance.
You’ll build leadership capability, support better workforce decisions and contribute to meaningful organisational improvement - building capability, not creating dependence.
You’re an experienced People & Culture professional who understands how leadership, governance, organisational design and systems of work shape organisational performance.
Experience partnering with leaders across a broad range of People & Culture matters.
Strong employee and industrial relations capability, including performance, investigations and organisational change.
Experience in workforce planning, organisational development or business improvement.
Ability to analyse workforce data and translate insights into practical solutions.
Strong judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative approach and commitment to developing others.
Sound judgement, wisdom and integrity.
Curiosity, coachability and learning agility.
Compassion balanced with accountability.
Critical and systems thinking, with strong organisational awareness.
Practical problem-solving and the ability to identify underlying causes.
Confidence coaching, influencing and building leadership capability.
Resilience and professionalism.
Base salary between $96,696.79 and $107,484.22 + 13.5% superannuation, depending on skills and experience
Permanent/full-time
Monthly or fortnightly RDO
