About the role

Style Council Hair Collective is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team in Port Kennedy, WA. This is a part-time or full time position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the professional standards our clients expect. As a Senior Hair Stylist, you will be a key member of our salon, providing exceptional hair services and mentoring junior stylists. This role is perfect for experienced professionals looking to maintain a work-life balance whilst continuing to deliver outstanding results and contributing to the creative culture of our salon.

What you'll be doing

• Providing high-quality hair cutting, colouring, styling and treatment services to a diverse clientele

• Consulting with clients to understand their requirements and recommending appropriate hair solutions and treatments

• Maintaining detailed client records and preferences to ensure consistent service excellence

• Mentoring and supporting junior stylists, providing guidance on techniques and client care

• Ensuring the salon workspace remains clean, hygienic and well-organised at all times

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat bookings

• Staying current with industry trends, techniques and products to deliver contemporary styling solutions

• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the overall success of the salon

What we're looking for

• A recognised qualification in hairdressing or equivalent industry-recognised training

• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience as a hair stylist in a salon environment

• Advanced technical skills in cutting, colouring, styling and chemical treatments

• Proven ability to build rapport with clients and deliver personalised service

• Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior staff members

• A current knowledge of contemporary hair trends and styling techniques

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently

• A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and professional conduct

• Experience in a busy salon environment is highly desirable
