About the role
The St Vincent de Paul Society aspires to be recognised as a caring charity offering "a hand up" to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny.
St Vincent de Paul Society is proudly participating in Tasmania’s Container Refund Scheme, Recycle Rewards.
The warehouse processes the received containers following contractual requirements. Using purpose-built equipment and machines, the sorting and cleaning of containers is a primarily automated process. The Supervisor is responsible for staff supervision, coordination of tasks, stakeholder management, customer service and daily operations. The Supervisor is strongly supported by our Northwest Reuse Manager. This role is offered on a part time basis, 30 hours per week. Availability to work every second Saturday is preferred.
If you have warehouse or waste management experience and exceptional customer service skills, we would love to hear from you.

Knowledge and understanding of safe work practices and a proactive approach to WHS.
A flexible and willing approach to working in a diverse team.
Ability to adapt to changing environments and demands.
Willingness and commitment to work in alignment with the Society's values and culture.
The successful applicant must hold a current compliant National Police Check, along with a valid Tasmanian Working With Vulnerable People Card or the ability to obtain.
The Society is more than just a workplace; our collective commitment to our values is mirrored in our culture. The St Vincent de Paul Society has an attractive salary packaging option available to all employees.
The Society is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace and to upholding the safety, wellbeing and cultural security of all children, young people, and adults at risk. We promote a culture of safeguarding with a zero-tolerance approach to abuse and harm. Safeguarding is recognised as a fundamental aspect of our work in providing a hand up to those facing adversity.
