Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Junior IT Deskside Support Engineer to provide onsite IT support to end users in a corporate and operational environment in Mascot, NSW.The successful candidate will support day-to-day IT operations, troubleshoot common hardware and software issues, assist users with end-user devices, and help ensure IT incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed service levels.This role is suitable for candidates who are beginning their IT support career or have approximately 1–2 years of experience in Helpdesk, Service Desk, Desktop Support, or a similar IT support role.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite deskside and basic helpdesk support to end users.Respond to IT incidents and service requests within agreed SLA targets.Troubleshoot common hardware, software, network, and user-related issues.Install, configure, and support:Desktop PCsLaptopsMonitorsPrinters and scannersMobile devicesStandard office applicationsPerform basic hardware replacement and troubleshooting for PCs, laptops, monitors, and peripheral devices.Support Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.Provide basic support for Microsoft 365 applications.Assist users with password resets, account access issues, and basic user access requests.Perform basic network troubleshooting for LAN, Wi-Fi, and connectivity issues.Assist with device setup, deployment, replacement, and collection.Update support tickets with troubleshooting steps, actions taken, and resolution details.Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or relevant support teams when required.Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when supporting users.
RequirementsDiploma, Certificate, Degree, or relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.Approximately 1–2 years of IT support experience preferred.Fresh graduates with good technical knowledge and practical IT support exposure are also encouraged to apply.Basic knowledge of:Windows 10 / Windows 11Microsoft 365 / Office applicationsDesktop and laptop hardwarePrinters and peripheral devicesTCP/IPLAN and Wi-FiBasic user account and access managementGood troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.Good communication and customer service skills.Ability to follow IT procedures and technical instructions.Able to work independently on routine tasks and escalate when necessary.Willing and able to work onsite in Mascot, NSW.Applicants must have valid working rights in Australia.
