Melbourne Tractors is a family-owned dealership with over 40 years of partnering our customers and delivering, repairing and servicing awesome construction and agricultural machines including Kobelco, New Holland, Merlo, ASV, Hydrema and more!

About the role:

As a Parts Interpreter at our Dandenong South Branch, you will use your technical knowledge and great customer service skills to interpret specifications, codes and product descriptions to help our customers correctly identify parts required for repairs or replacements. Reporting to the Service/Parts Manager, you will be responsible:

• Assessing and interpreting customer requirements

• Using OEM portals and DMS to check stock availability and pricing

• Generating customer quotes

• Providing technical advice on part variants, availability, prices, warranty, use and care

• Maintaining the showroom in great condition

• Rotate stock and participate in stocktakes

• Work through customer complaint resolution including queries on warranty

• Support the workshop with part requests

• Cash, handling, EFTPOS and invoicing sales.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

As a Parts Interpreter, you will be:

• A people person with outstanding communication skills

• A great detective and problem solver - to locate those challenging parts that may not be available from the OEM.

• A team player who values collaboration and positivity

• Experienced in the operations of a busy dealerships and Spare Parts counter

• Have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in dealership spare parts operations

• Highly computer literate and a quick learner - Auto IT Equip experience preferred
