National Group are seeking an experienced Production Superintendent – Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) to support Load & Haul activities at the Sino Iron Mine in Western Australia for a TSF embankment build.

This role works closely with the Construction Manager to deliver safe and efficient TSF embankment works, managing large-scale earthmoving operations and coordinating site teams to achieve project milestones.

About the Role

As the Production Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and execution of TSF embankment construction and associated load, haul and placement of quarried material.

Working in a back-to-back arrangement with the Construction Manager on an 8/6 dayshift only roster, you will lead supervisors, crews and contractors to deliver planned works safely and efficiently while maintaining alignment with engineering requirements and project schedules.

The project operates a large mining-class earthmoving fleet including Hitachi EX5600 and EX3600 excavators, Komatsu 830E haul trucks and CAT D11 dozers, supported by graders and ancillary equipment to deliver large-scale embankment and topsoil works.

You will play a key role in driving production outcomes, coordinating site activities and ensuring works are executed to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise Load & Haul activities, including embankment construction and major earthworks to conformance
• Work closely with the Construction Manager to implement construction plans and schedules
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, resource planning and work scheduling
• Lead and support supervisors, operators and subcontractors on site
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with engineering specifications and quality requirements
• Maintain strong communication with site teams, engineers and client representatives
• Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all work fronts

What You’ll Bring

• S26 Statutory Supervisor qualifications, good understanding of the Work Health & Safety Act 2020, and Work, Health, & Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022
• Minimum 10+ years’ mining experience with 5 years minimum supervising bulk haulage for TSF, dumps and embankments
• Current WA C class drivers’ licence
• Strong background in civil / quarrying works or large-scale mining earthworks
• Proven experience in a Superintendent or Senior Supervisor role within civil / mining / bulk earthworks projects
• Solid understanding of TSF construction methodologies and embankment development
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach to site delivery
• Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities in a dynamic environment
• Commitment to safety, teamwork and high-quality outcomes
