Site Manager

About the role

Village is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Site Manager to join our friendly housing team. This full-time role reports directly to the Construction Manager. You will lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, trades and subcontractors for multi-million-dollar townhouse and civil projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, trades and subcontractors for multi-million-dollar townhouse and civil projects

• Ensure daily operations align with project plans, program, and Construction Manager direction

• Provide practical construction input throughout the design and pre-construction phases of townhouse developments including buildability, staging, methodology and value engineering reviews

• Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to Foremen and site teams

• Develop and manage the construction program, ensuring progress aligns with time, cost and quality benchmarks

• Drive sequencing, scheduling, site set-out and defect-free delivery across projects

• Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of labour, materials and plant

• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, NCC requirements and company standards

• Coordinate civil contractors, authorities and infrastructure works

• Promote and maintain a superior safety culture

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Manager, Senior Foreman or similar supervisory role

• Demonstrated experience managing townhouse developments and associated civil works

• Experience coordinating multiple work fronts, subcontractors and project stakeholders

• Experience supervising and mentoring site teams

• Building Licence preferred

• Trade Qualification preferred

• Building/Construction Degree, Diploma or Certificate preferred

• Strong understanding of residential construction methodologies, NCC requirements and quality standards

• Strong leadership, communication and trade coordination skills

• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and site safety requirements
